What I Need From You

If you came to this private page link “what I need from you” it’s because you received my email invite instructing you to do so! I’m am pleased you understand The design process so far and I apologize ahead of time for what seems as too much text to read but we’ll be doing allot of work together and there’s much to understand here. Tired of reading? Skip to this link; https://basementdesigner.com/basement-design-information-needed/

Note: this cool virtual design process works and views better on a larger screen and  please don’t think you can design a complicated basement or any project space by using a small hand held device if this is what you’re viewing these instructions with. If you want to not have to read much detail and already understand this simple process, just send me a plan or sketch with measurements of the basement or project space, many photos and email me all of this also requesting or sending my wish list form (must be downloaded first). Either way, I’ll provide a free quote for the design work.

Merely complete the following 5 steps and at the least, I can send you a free quote to design your project. You may complete these steps in any order you wish as long as you finish them and I’ll have what I need from you to provide any accurate design work and or just the free quote for you. You’ve already completed Step-1 by contacting me so I could send this link to you at this private page by the way!

OPTIONAL STEP #2

Step-2: I want you to be completely comfortable working with me. If I didn’t send it already, contact me again to receive over 240 Design References of my most recent satisfied “design by email” clients and I do encourage you to call or contact any of them by email or phone to chat with. If you prefer, merely read any of the more than 59 five star reviews about my services at HOUZZ.COM also Voted Best of Houzz for over 7 years now. I’m sure you’ll read from many happy clients how well I do this design by email process and how nice the designs were done and how well they built their basements using my easy to follow plans and much more about me. I’m also sure you will be saving money big time because I’m not charging to come to the home which comprises of my travel time to and from the job site, gas, time visiting with you and my time measuring and taking photos for you! Believe me, I comprehend this all so well after standing in thousands of basements over the years. So you save allot doing it this way yet you’ll still get the best professional design possible as well.

WHAT I NEED: STEP #3

Step-3: Click the following link; wish list to open, then download, save to your PC and or printout what I call the wish list which is really a more complete set of questions I need answers to so I know how we’ll use your space available along with other questions pertaining to your existing basement structure. Don’t hold back when you fill this out, I really want to know everything you want, desires and dreams about what you want to fit in your new space even if you’re not sure it will fit or work; leave that up to me because I’m very good at this space planning. If you can’t download this, just contact me and I’ll send the PDF form to you. This may not work if you’re only using a cell phone! Please don’t submit this wish list form until step 6 below has been fulfilled which is choosing from one of 5 design levels for me to know how you want the design.

WHAT I NEED: STEP #4

Step-4: I’ll need dimensions of the basement (using feet and inches to the nearest inch only) in the form of a hand sketch, chicken scratch, excel, sketch up drawing or something like punch or even any CAD as a print out or DWG/DXF file or even a full size builders plan you merely take a clear photo of and send to me. Please don’t use fractions or decimals or total inches as I have to spend more time converting these. If you wish to see examples and need this explained more thoroughly, the process is easy as outlined here on my web site at this link; HOW IT WORKS which explains more in more detail if you love to read. WHAT I NEED: STEP #5

Step-5: Many digital photos (phone cameras may take blurry photos) of the project space are needed (12-18) in landscape form (wide not tall) showing as far across all the ceilings in each direction as possible with your back to the perimeter walls, even if there’s items, walls, post in the views. Take about 3 shots in different angles from each position you’re in per 12-15 feet areas along the perimeter walls looking inward. A few taken standing in the middle turning around are good too. Although I have been in thousands of basement and have a very high aptitude for this and comprehend basements so well by just using many photos of your basement just remember, since I can’t see the job, photos are very much needed to do this design process by email for you as if I was standing there.

Along with the basement photos, send me a few photos of your main floor if you wish for me to match anything architecturally such as railing, archways, niches, cabinets, molding details and fireplace faces! For more information on taking and sending photos, click this link; “Taking Photos And Sending“.

NOTE: Digital photos can be used to send me anything including the wish list and sketches/plans of any size. This is handy if you don’t have a scanner or fax around! I always say; “we use to call this a “photocopy” back in the day”. And if taking shots of a large builders plan in good light, just make sure you review the image first making sure I can see everything well including numbers if it’s a plan, anything in print or hand sketch. At anytime you’re understanding what to do and are tired of reading my novel, please link me to your cloud to upload files to me or merely email them to adesignpro@hotmail.com if you can’t use an online cloud based method! All quotes are always free by the way!

WHAT I NEED: STEP #6

Step-6: MOST IMPORTANT! This critical step is to go to each of the 5 links at the different categories of design levels shown below. Before you click that link, understand what we’re simply after here; so under each heading of “design level” A to E merely click on each level in blue text and review the slide show of the most likely “Design Level” that comes closer to fitting your taste, style and or how detailed you want me to make your design. Think of this like viewing these levels as a good, better, best differences.

This private link was made just for my new clients to see as part of “What I Need From You” and provides CAD 3D images of my work to just view online as all FIVE design levels types as examples. Each design level will explain the graduated time needed by me to complete a design that will satisfy you which controls my rate per square foot when I quote you for free. Each design level starting with “A” becomes more complicated in hours to design based on the time I put into each design level. Design level “E” being the most complex design to work with. You will need to indicate to me which one suits you best as per your taste and or what you might expect from my services. I’m flexible in these to some degree and these are just examples so your design may not be like these other than the amount of detail and my hours being put into the design.

So please indicate this choice on your wish list you downloaded in step 2 before you save it again and send it back.

This Design level choice from the wish list will be noted on my fee agreement (the quote)  and once you move forward with my design protocol, I carry your wishes out and the higher the design level the more I create the “WOW” effect in your design depending on the design level chosen. See the email I first sent you with a link or click the GREEN 5 different design levels button below for all design level rates per foot.

TO THE 5 DESIGN LEVELS

MAKE NOTE: No two designs are the same or equal nor are any two basements and their clients! The Design Level choice factors the cost and is Very Important information needed from you! Truly the only way in providing an accurate yet free quote to do your design. Once I receive your information in all of these 6 steps, this rate will also be determined on the finished square footage only and not any unfinished areas! Remember, at this stage, the quote is free! Knowing you took the time to provide “What I Need From You” indicates you’re seriousness in designing your basement and does motivate me in providing enough of my valuable time upfront to produce this free quote for you! Fair enough?

I’ll look for your information in an email reply from you and remember that the free quote I’ll prepare from this information about your basement does not obligate you in anyway. It’s the only way I can quote this fairly and accurately based on the square footage I find from putting this on my CAD software as a basic footprint for now. I’ve tried to figure out a way to quote from the hip and it doesn’t work like that and it’s not fair to you since each design has different factors and personal taste involved, so I really need ALL this information from you and I’ll be happy to provide this free quote to you, Ok?  I can assure you, my rate per foot is the lowest in the industry for such a professional design. I do look forward to seeing your information and working with you on this professional design. Thanks again and you should know you’re saving lots of money using this process. To contact me and upload files all at the same time, use Contact Me as it has an upload function there or use the step 5 photo method to send any files using a cloud server.
